England Walking Football Club Code of Conduct

At England Walking Football Club, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that upholds respect, fairness, and camaraderie. By adhering to this Code of Conduct, members ensure our club remains a space for everyone to enjoy the game.

1. Respect for Each Other

• Treat all players, coaches, and club members with kindness, respect, and consideration.
• Avoid any form of discrimination based on race, gender, age, ability, or other characteristics.

2. Respect for the Referee

• Accept and abide by the referee’s decisions with grace, demonstrating sportsmanship.
• Avoid dissent, disrespectful language, or inappropriate behavior toward match officials.

3. Punctuality

• Arrive on time for training, matches, and other club activities to demonstrate commitment.
• Notify team leaders in advance of unavoidable delays or absences.

4. Fair Play

• Play honestly and with integrity, maintaining discipline on and off the pitch.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all players.

5. Sportsmanship

• Celebrate victories and acknowledge opponents’ achievements with humility and respect.
• Prioritise enjoyment and participation over winning.

6. Communication and Social Media

• Communicate openly, respectfully, and constructively within the team.
• Address concerns through appropriate channels and avoid gossip or negative discussions.
• Use social media professionally, with honesty and respect, ensuring no harm to the club’s reputation.
• Do not discuss or disclose club business with the press or media unless authorised by the Steering Committee.

7. Representing the Club

• Remember that your behaviour reflects on the reputation of England Walking Football Club. Discrimination of any type, whether on or off the pitch, through communications and/or using social media will not be tolerated.
• Uphold the club’s positive values and standards at all times.
