England Walking Football Training Update: New Venue for May 4th Session

Attention all England Walking Football players! Our next training session is set for Sunday, May 4th, and we are switching venues to the Birmingham FA HQ at Ray Hall Lane. This new location offers excellent facilities, ensuring a top-quality training experience.

New Training Venue: Birmingham FA HQ

Located at Ray Hall Lane, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 6JF, the Birmingham County FA boasts two full-size grass football pitches available for hire. These pitches provide a superb playing surface along with changing rooms and free onsite parking for all attendees.

Additionally, a filming tower and indoor facilities are available upon request, enhancing the training experience for both players and coaching staff.

How to Find the Birmingham FA HQ

By Car:

Birmingham County FA should appear on most navigation apps on mobile phones. However, it may not always be recognized by traditional Sat Nav systems. Use the postcode B43 6JF, and locate us on Ray Hall Lane, just off Newton Road.

By Bus:

  • From Birmingham Town Centre: Take the X51, 51, or 52 bus to Scott Arms.
  • From Scott Arms, it’s a 20-minute walk down Newton Road to Birmingham FA HQ.
  • Alternatively, take the Number 5 bus from Scott Arms and get off at Bowstoke Road for a shorter walk.

By Train:

  • Nearest Station:Hamstead Station
    • From Birmingham New Street: Take a train to Hamstead Station (16-minute journey), followed by a two-mile walk to the venue.
  • Alternative Route:
    • Take a train to Sandwell & Dudley Station (10-minute journey), then grab a taxi to Ray Hall Lane.
