England Walking Football Holds Second Training Session of 2025

England Walking Football gathered once again for their second training session of 2025, bringing together all six teams from the Men's and Women's divisions at The Castle Vale Stadium. The session took place under bright blue skies, with the added privilege of training on the main stadium pitch, making for an inspiring and productive day.

As part of the pre-training proceedings, players traveling to the Nations Cup in Rome later this month were presented with their brand-new home and away kits. Adding to the excitement, a new England Walking Football flag was unveiled, along with commemorative pennants set to be exchanged with opposition teams during the tournament.

The training session saw a strong turnout across all teams, with the Women's squad also welcoming their new coach. Players began the day with a professional warm-up before being divided into teams based on gender and age groups. The high standard of football was evident throughout the session, but true to the spirit of Walking Football, it was played with camaraderie, sportsmanship, and plenty of good-natured banter.

With this session now complete, attention turns to the Nations Cup in Rome, which will take place at its new venue, the Farnesina Stadium, on the 22nd and 23rd of March. Preparations are in full swing as England Walking Football aims for success on the international stage.

Looking ahead, efforts are underway to secure a venue for the next training session, scheduled for Sunday, 4th May. Stay tuned to our social media channels for the latest updates:

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who attended this training session and wish all players safe travels as they represent England in Rome.
